" What man is he that desires life and would wish to see good days ? "

The monk wishes to live to the full and has realised that to do so he must first return to his heart, he must turn within . There, in the deepest recesses of his person, man can enter into relationship with God. In prayer man finds to his wonderment that he is a beloved son of God and at the same time brother to all men. He stands alone and yet he is bound to all. As a house of those seeking God, the monastery also constitutes a school of charity, of brotherhood and of simplicity. |
